You forgot to include to choice of 0 😀

i actually forgot to have a 0 option. this is my first day making a poll, i apologize.

what a interesting mix of data...so no one got into 8 or more?haha

is it worth it to get accepted to 6, 7, 8+ schools? such a waste of time and money to go to so many interviews when i'm sure people have established their top 3-5 schools when applying.

you better get in the 1st time instead of wasting more money reapplying

Not sure if many people decided to attend more than 6/7 interviews. If these students did, I'm sure they would've been accepted to whichever program they interviewed at cause it seems like they've been interviewing well. 🙂

Amen.

You may have your top schools, but you never know what might happen during an interview. Maybe you get tripped up on a question, or your interviewer is having a bad day and won't recommend anyone that interviews that day. The application/interview process definitely has a certain element of luck to it. That's why you apply to and interview at a bunch of schools. People with really high stats, who apply only to their 'top' schools, sometimes end up reapplying next year.

Also don't forget having multiple interviews are great practice...by my 5th interview I wasn't the least bit nervous and nailed every interview after that...luckily I interviewed at my top choice schools later in the cycle

yea, its better to be safe than sorry. go to all the interviews that you get, nothing is guaranteed

This is kind of useless. Some people are set on a school and might drop all interviews after getting in there. Some people might apply to schools with generally lower criteria for acceptance so they will get into a bunch. Moral of the story: All it takes is one.

its not completely useless. You get to see a general distribution of how many acceptances people get. I personally didnt think that 1 acceptance ( like myself) would be one of the highest numbers for SDN.
