How many schools should I apply to?

I have a 3.25 overall gpa and 3.4 science gpa. My DAT scores are
AA- 19
TS- 19
OC- 20
GC- 18
Bio- 19
QR- 21
RC- 19
PAT- 25
From those stats how many schools should I apply to.

Your DAT scores are pretty good and your GPAs are about average (a little low on the overall). My stats were somewhat similar to yours and I applied to 15. To narrow down where to apply, I looked at percentage of OOS acceptances and the DAT/GPA ranges for each school and figured out where I'd likely have the best chances. The number of schools you apply to is totally a personal preference thing (and also depends on how much money you want to spend), but I kind of figured that if I applied to a quarter of them and didn't get in to any of them, then my chances of getting into the rest probably wouldn't be so hot...

I'd say go for 20 schools just to be safe. Make sure they're your state schools, all the private schools except for the crazy ones like Columbia, Penn, Harvard etc. Hope you get in somewhere! Best of luck
