How many time can we take the DAT?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's true. After 3 times you will need a special permission to take the test. It's still possible but a hassle nonetheless.

Bottom of Page 2, where it says additional eligibility requirement.

In essence, you will need
1. Proof that you applied to dental schools.
2. Proof that you got rejected by dental schools.
3. A letter from dental school adcomm telling you to reapply.
4. A letter from your college adviser verifying that you are reapplying.

Is this the rule if you want to take it three consecutive times? Is there a difference if there are years in between the times that you took it?
