So someone told me last night that VMCAS now limits the amount of times you are allowed to apply in a row. Is this true? How many times are you limited to?

Unless something changed recently, you're allowed to apply until you get in.

I can't see why they would want to limit how much money they can get from re-applicants!

I knew a vet who was told explicitly by UC Davis to never apply again because they are never going to admit her (this was her second time). Even that didn't deter her, and she was admitted the next cycle!

So... if you're ready to blow some cash, even if they say you can't apply I don't see why not. What's the worst they're going to do? reject you again?

Wow, that's terrible. If I were her I would have just loved to track down those people once I was admitted to a vet school or once I had my diploma and just wave it in their face. What jerks!

OVC doesn't allow an applicant to apply more than 4 times. Not sure what other schools (if any) have this policy in place.

RVC says two application cycles is it. I don't recall if it's a "we throw it in the trash as soon as we get it" type thing, or just that your odds are really slim if you've already been rejected twice.

I am pretty sure that VMRCVM doesn't have a written policy, at least not one they have told me about, and this will be my 3rd time applying in three years. But that is the only school I have applied to multiple times.

It seems odd that VMCAS would limit the # of times you can apply - like other posters have said - why turn down all those application fees??

We have at least two 5-timers or more in my class. I really doubt that VMCAS would do that ($$$!) but there may be schools that don't want to bother.
