How many times can you retake before they start averaging your scores?

I hear that after 3 times your scores start to average, and is it true that the schools you're applying to will see all your MCAT scores and that getting a high score on your 1st attempt has an advantage over a 2nd, but more improved score? Because that's getting me really worried that if I don't get a good score on my first attempt, my chances of entering medical school will drop.

I'd say it depends on the school, some schools may average your first 2 scores. Which is why you shouldn't take the thing unless you're ready for it, that way only one time is required.
