In general, the idea of the DAT is so dental schools can get an idea of not only the knowledge you've acquired, but also to gage whether or not you can withstand the pressure and enducrance that you wil experience when taking exams in dental school. Most dental school exams last for 4 hrs and you don't exactly get a whole lot of shots at taking them. So my anser to your question is it definately looks better to get the job done in less attempts, but everyone has different situations which are taken into account. What's your situation in regards to taking the DAT, if you don't mind me asking?
