Rads residency is a total of 5 years: 1 yr prelim surg, med, or trans + 4 yrs of radiology. Fellowships generally are 1-2 yrs in addition. The only fellowships that are awarded CAQs are nuclear radiology, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, and vascular/int radiology. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone!
Anyone know how necessary a fellowship is these days to go into private practice? Will you be at a large competition and salary and long term disadvantage without a fellowship?
