How much chance do I have for the application?

NBDE new pattern part1 : 86
Part2: 81
TOEFL iBT: 108
6 years in US and 6 papers related to dental sciences published.
My advisor will be my referee who is a chair in a decent US dental school.
My dream is UCSF, UCLA, UPenn

Q: Is my part1 score high enough? Is it true that ppl usually got lower score in the new pattern part 1 test?
Q: Anybody can tell me wheather I will have great chance for above schools? I don't think my scores are very strong. And I really don't know how much my research experience can help for the application.

I'm sure you will hear lots of conflicting things about your scores, the bottom line is this: as long as those scores meet the minimum requirements to apply for those programs you should apply, most, if not all, schools will look at several key items in your application, if you believe one or more are not strong enough try to emphasize your strength points, published papers are always a plus, give it a shot, I'm sure you will do just fine.

it all depends how well you formulate your resume & SOP,
ur scores are just one aspect of your profile, your research experience & work exp. are the other brighter aspects.
just make the proper presentation.
i guess you should'nt have problems at all in getting into your dream school
