I just finished my Freshman year at University of Texas and got a 4.0. However, this past summer I took an EMT class at a community college in my hometown and got a B in it.

I probably need to just stop living up to the Pre-Med stereotypes and stop stressing over a single B, but I guess I just feel like it's kinda a bad face to put forward to a medical school that I'm really good at everything except for that part where I have to learn how to take care of patients. Any thoughts?

They won’t care. You are fine. You passed, now go actually work as an EMT. Make up for it by caring for patients.

I had the same exact mindset as you: how will adcoms believe in my ability to do great in medical school if I can’t even get an A in a community college level course. Granted, I’m thankful that I did end up getting an A, but I know exactly how you feel

I got a B in physics 1 w/ calculus at a CC and I am a PGY2 now. I guess that's why I am going to be just an internist.
