As I study for biochem and shoot for an A, while competing against a wicked bell curve, I wonder if it really matters? At first I thought maybe say 4.0 would push me over the hump at some schools. But has anyone had experience with getting great grades the fall of applying and it actually becoming a factor? Obviously it would help, but to what degree? It also seems that most interview spots are given out before the fall grades come in anyway. I can see it helping @ USC and some other west coast schools b/c they accept pretty late, but are most of their interview and acceptance seats gone by mid december?

For me, I know I will get accepted before we update any transcripts in Jan. So I am at the point where C's will get a degree! So I am just coasting baby!!!!!!!

If you plan on specializing I hear they really matter since that becomes part of what they look at again.

yeah.. i was thinking of withdrawing from a class i put on my application..
today's the last day for me to drop it and not get a W on my transcript.. or anything for that matter.. I a stressed out.. have an exam tomorrow and wonder if this is worth taking at all..

But if you say USC accepts late.. I wouldn't mind going to USC (PBL and all) so i think you just convinced me to stay in the class and give it my all.. and i guess that applies to all other schools that accept people later in the year..

UGHH.. just one more semester.. guess its not so bad.. back to studying 🙁
