I'm curious on this, cause I started my first two years at a Community College in Wyoming. That's not to say our program isn't good; in fact, many kids at the University are jealous of our chemistry department because its so in depth and we have fantastic equipment. But even with good grades, MCAT, and ECs, are my chances objectively lower than an undergrad say from Princeton or Duke?

if i could pick residency of any state based solely on admissions, i would pick Wyoming. you are considered in-state for admissions purposes at:

UColorado
UNevada
OHSU
UWashington

which are four excellent schools. stay in state, complete your degree at a full university (not at the CC), take more upper level science courses.

UC I'm considered a resident for? Wow...that'a pretty cool! And yeah transferring to the university with Biochem major and minor in...something.

Arizona and New Mexico have traditionally given consideration to highly qualified Wyoming residents as well.
