How much general Biology is on the MCAT? The reason I am asking is because most of my biology classes consist of Tissue Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Pathophysiology. However, my question is would it be a waste of time to take general biology class or do all the class I have mentioned above cover the material on the MCAT?

yes, it would be a waste of time. To do well in those classes you would already have a good base of knowledge as far as gen bio is concerned. All of those classes will provide great background information for passages you'll see on the MCAT, especially microbio and genetics.
If you want to see exactly what you need to know, find or buy the Examkrackers biology book. Any person could get through it in a day.

I agree, you will actually probably in better shape than the background you would get from Gen Bio course. But, do those courses cover the premed pre reqs? I would think that they should, but I am not sure that they do.

Do they?
