How much movement off waitlists?

Realistically speaking, how much movement off waitlists is there after May 1? I know it sort of depends on the program, but do a lot of people give up the spot that they currently hold for a spot at another school (once they are off the waiting list), or do most people tend to stick to the acceptance that they have?

Realistically, all places have likely now made offers for all of their remaining spots. People will continue to accept new offers though which will leave vacant spots in other schools. I've been moving around a lot lately. I was set on a Texas program and then UIC's mstp, and then switched the next day to a place in new york. Good luck. I wouldn't guess that I'm toooo unique.
