How much time for bio?

I have about a little more than a month left until my MCAT and I haven't really touched bio at all yet. I've been spending most of my time on Physics and Chemistry. I've heard that the Bio portion of the BS section has little to do with memorizing facts and is more of a reading comprehension test. Since I majored in Neuroscience as an undergrad and took many bio and psych courses I figure I won't need to spend a whole lot of time studying bio and 2 weeks should be more than enough(I'm only going to use EK). Is this a good idea? Or am I underestimating the bio portion of the BS section.

There is not "one size fits all" answer to this question. Take a practice test and see how you do, if you are fine with your score then great, risk it on the MCAT. I would STRONGLY suggest studying for more than two weeks, but hey, that's what works for me, maybe not for you.

In my opinion, if you can get your hands on TPR Biological Sciences review, go through that and just read it. It'll prove very beneficial on test day.

I found the TPR materials to be much more comprehensive than EK. Albeit longer, but I felt more prepared walking into the exam.

Best advice I can give would be to not only get the tpr bio book, but also the hyperlearning science workbook. A month is more than sufficient time to read and do all corresponding bio passages in the science workbook. I am not a bio major, and that was all I used (I looked at EK, but I preferred tpr). i personally think bio requires the most recall than any other section. i've found that physics and chemistry requires very basic knowledge and a whole lot of interpreting passages, and bio is most oftentimes knowing a specific fact and applying it to the passage... like everyone else said, just take a practice exam or two and make your study decisions based on how you feel from that!
