At my school when we do our OSCEs the SPs are trained very specifically on PEs and they will take off points if you forget to do egophony or listen in the anterior lung fields.

do the SPs for the CS do the same thing? For example, if the patient has a neuro complaint of numbness in the foot are they going to take off points if I dont do a vibration/proprioception test on their feet? Or do they just care if you examine sensory/motor distribution on the foot instead?

From what I understand, they have a checklist that they grade you on. You will get one point for doing sensory tests, one for vibration, etc. if that is on their list. If you do extra maneuvers not on their checklist, you don't get extra points, and if you miss physical exam maneuvers, you don't get those points. I'm not sure how detailed they want the exams though; I would just try to be thorough on whatever system you feel you need to examine.
