It has never happened in the history of medical school tests, in America or any country, at any school in the world, for all of time itself.

The highest score ever scored is a 239. Oddly enough, this record setting score was by novelist Edward P. Jones, author of the pulitzer prize winning book The Known World, and he was 7 years old when he did it. Smart little sonuvabiche.

ANyway, I think what he is looking for is, what percentile is a 240? How many med students actually score a 240? Is a 240 like a 36 mcat? or like a 45?

I honestly do not know, I would say its like a 36 mcat, 90+ percentile at least but i have no idea i am ms2

235 on Step 1 is 1 SD above the mean, much as 35 on the MCAT is 1 SD above the mean (for matriculants).

it's not that good. I scored a 34 on my MCAT and a 235 on step 1, probably studied a little less for the USMLE.

36 on the MCAT is top 2% percentile if I remember correctly.

dude don't sweat it, you've still got two years before boards, so you should just be sittin pretty for now. 👍 and yeah, i believe a ~182 or thereabouts is passing.
