I just took the Sample Test as my first FL (my MCAT's scheduled for May 19th) and I scored 73/92/85/90 on C/P, CARS, B/B, and P/S respectively. I know there's no key for score and percentile, but how does this look for my 520+ goal? I know what areas I need to cover in C/P and B/B, so I'll be better prepared for my first scored FL, but in the mean time, I'm curious how I did.

Thanks for the help!

There is a rough converter on the right Reddit sidebar: MCAT - Medical College Admission Test • r/Mcat. I think the SAMPLE, FL1, and FL2, are all very good indicators of how you'll do on test. Most people do about 3 points higher than their average of those three tests. And since you're taking the SAMPLE one month out, I'd say add 5+ to whatever you scored and that'll be close-ish to where you'll land

Apparently I scored roughly in the 93rd, which isn't bad. Thanks for the link!

i took the sample test ~3 months before the actual exam and scored 2 points below my actual score. But my average across all the AAMC test was exactly what I scored, even the subsections were very close to my averages. Trust in your practice scores, they are a very good indicator of how you will do on test day.

That’s good to know. I think I’m pretty comfortable the representativeness if all of my scores except C/P. I haven’t covered that material in about a month and a half, so I was definitely rusty when I sat down this morning. I expect that to raise considerably. I also haven’t covered any metabolism yet, which is where I lost the bulk of my bio questions. So overall, with 7 weeks left, I think looking good for my 520+ score.

Edit: grammar

Anecdotally, I only had the sample exam when I took the MCAT and, taking it five days away, was nearly identical to my real score down to the subsections. As far as my students go, the usual composite deviation from practice AAMCs is +/- 2/3 points.

Well then I need to get my C/P in gear! 515’s a great score, but it’s short of my goal. Good think I still have 7 weeks and the rest of the AAMC prep materials.

Yeah its very solid at this point in your prep; you should be able to top at least 520-522 if you maintain your current base of knowledge and use the next couple months to build on it
