In all seriousness, this is just such a hefty goal and you're setting yourself up for failure. When it comes to getting super high scores, I really do think that luck plays some role in it. I don't think that different versions of the test are necessarily harder than others, but you may or may not receive a version of the DAT that strongly correlates with the things you managed to retain through your studying.
There's no reason not to aim for really high scores. A 25 in everything, though, would just be astronomical. I studied 3 months for 4.5 hours a day and didn't do it, and I don't know that I've ever seen anyone on this site who was able to pull it off. Sure, getting scores of 25+ in a few sections is doable, but in everything? I think you're going to let yourself down unless you're Einstein. Make reasonable goals.
🙂 For example, even a goal of achieving a 25 AA is much more reasonable in my opinion. That gives your some wiggle room--you can max out in the subjects you really love and do a little bit worse in the subjects that you aren't so crazy about. For me, the subject I wasn't so crazy about was QR, and I made a 21. I also made a 21 in reading, which honestly was a real shock to me (I normally score very highly on reading tests); my version of the reading section is one of the reasons why I think luck does come into play!
🙂 I still managed over a 25 AA, though, even with these two scores.
You can read my breakdown and I'm always willing to answer questions! Also, the la datélisse thread is a golden resource that smurf has put together. Read through all of the breakdowns and piece together a study schedule for yourself.
Well it's not impossible, but you're aiming for the 99.9 percentile.
My 26 was 99.9th, but I know it varies from test to test.
Anyhow, BEST OF LUCK!
