Would it be inappropriate to send a thank you card to a physician I shadowed? He had to pull some strings so I could round on patients with his residents, and it was like 5 different days of shadowing so I was thinking I should do something.

Does anyone have any good ideas for gifts?

How have you thanked physicians in the past?

Here's what I have so far
Dear Dr. Kevorkian,

Best regards,

Too mushy?

Too deep. I'd stick with something simpler and less flowery. If you know him personally, maybe a nice bottle of wine would be appropriate. Otherwise, a thank-you is plenty.

have you seen those voice recordable mothers day cards from hallmark? use that use that

Thanks, I'll tone it down a bit. Although he was my prof for a quarter as well.

I never thanked the doctors I shadowed. I just... stopped going. I shouldn't have done that though.
