Haha this test is actually pretty hard. They gave it to a bunch of ortho residents, attendings, and med students here, and the scores weren't as high as you might think, you have to go pretty fast.

I took the portion on that website and got 17 of the 20 correct, they say multiply by 2.5, so I got 42.5, I'm smarter than Drew Bledsoe, but not as smart as Ryan Fitzpatrick. So I guess I'm smart enough to be a NFL QB?

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a Harvard graduate so don't feel bad.

That's what I got. I can't believe I said flammable and inflammable meant opposite things haha...

this would effectively make me ******ed since i got 17.5. This is inhuman work for 5 mins...

Smart does not mean book smarts alone. Smart people have book smarts and street smarts.

I almost never believe anyone's claim of a high IQ.

I feel the same way. It's also hilarious that after every high IQ score (often remembering their score from 10, 20, 30 years ago) is a quick dismissal of its importance to them.

Followed ever so closely by pages of low IQ scorers explaining why IQ isn't important to them.

The OP claimed to be in the 99.97th percentile for IQ, which would be one in 4000 people. Call me skeptical.....

This doesn't happen. People with low IQs don't admit it.

If you're referring to me, I've never had it tested, nor do I have any interest in it.

Meh. I mean, I remember my IQ score. They tested me when I was 10 or 11, but all I knew at the time was that I qualified for the gifted program for my area. I didn't see the actual score until a few years later in a box in my mom's room. Did it make me feel good? Sure, why wouldn't it? Is it "important"? Not really. I enjoyed the program I was in the last few years of school, and it kept me from being as bored, but I knew I was smart before I saw my score and I've had plenty of other accomplishments since then that meant a lot more to me.

Average for a college student. I've often been low on motiviation so I wonder if I don't underperform. The few things that I'm really into, I know a lot more about than almost everyone else who is interested in those things. Maybe that's just my own enthusiasm, though. When I take math and CS courses, I don't emerge smarter than everyone else.

By how many times you've had sex.

No one I know, as far as I know, tracks this information.

I see no reason to believe the average college student is not of average intelligence.

For any naïve kids that might find this thread someday: Evergrey is being sarcastic. Get tested. Get treated. And wrap it up.

Quoted for truth. Remember your ABCs kids. Abstain, Be faithful or Condomize. But if you don't, get it checked

Smart is such a subjective term, and everyone usually thinks they are smarter than they really are, but I'd like to see how smart the other premed students on this forum are.

Me? I had my IQ tested at the age of like 5, so I have no idea of its accuracy, but it was around 152. Seeing other kids in my school, I really don't think its that high. I'm a first year, second semester student, so my classes aren't really hard yet, but I actually have to work on stuff in order to get good grades. I am at the top of my class in all but one of my classes, but this mainly comes from hard work. I don't go out a whole lot, especially during the week, and I really study for everything and get all my work turned in.

So how about you?
This is tricky what the op does here- they discount their own intelligence throughout the whole post but somehow manage to sneak in a number that is in the 1/1000 range. The OP wants to brag about his/her iq but not appear like a complete douche, so they say they don't think they are that smart. Psychology for ya.
