How to answer this common interview question?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Discuss one of the major strengths that you didn't get to cover during the interview. This should be something that's relevant to what they're also looking for in their candidate (i.e, if your school's big on research, mention your past research experience and how that makes you a great asset, etc.).

"Is there anything else you would like the admissions committee to consider?"

Just wanted to get some thoughts on this.

"I am highly interested in volunteering/research/etc opportunities that one of your faculty member conducts in, and I would like to expand on my area of ______ to be a capable pharmacist"

"My strength and weaknesses are ____,____,____ and I am going to do things differently by doing ____, _____, _____ when I am accepted into your school"

"Your mission statement clearly states ________ and my interest reflects those values and I would like to give back to the community from shaping my values...etc etc"

Hope that helps 👍

I used this in both interviews and it obviously didn't hurt me. I discussed how there is no where in during the application process that effectively allows me to demonstrate me passion for wanting to be where I am and where I'm headed. For example, when a hosptial pharm tech asked me why I would rather be in the hospital volunteering instead of home watching a footbal game... its because this is what I want to do. Or why I'm volunteering during a 3 day holiday weekend.... because the hosptial is open. Find your passion for being there and cram it down their throat.

I agree with the above posters. Basically this is your prompt for your great selling point. :meanie:

But seriously, this is where you throw in whatever positive points they didn't cover in the interview and sell them on why you are a good fit for their program.

Elevator speech time. 😎
