How to Apply to a Either a Designated or Non-Designated Preliminary Surgery Spot

So, I have completed my ERAS application

So now I'm looking to apply to surgical programs, however, due to competitiveness of surgical programs, I would like to have a backup-plan. Most people suggested Preliminary surgery for back-up. My question is how do i apply to these spots? I do not see them on ERAS or is there a special way to do it?

I would like some feedback on this and I would really appreciate it. Thank you guys in advance.
