how to ask DO for shadow

Hi Everyone,


I have been trying to find a DO to shadow

I called in the office today and talked to the nurse in his office.

She wasn't sure about whether the doctor offers shadowing opportunity so she talked to

the doctor, and the doc told the nurse that I could email him first (He gave his email

address)


So I'm wondering how I should ask him.. Should I introduce myself (my major..plans..etc)

and then ask if I could shadow him? or should i just be brief?
