Hi everyone,

I know there is an OT School ranking list, but how do I know approximately where I fall on that spectrum? I tried to find average admission statistics for each school (gpa, gre, etc.) so I can gauge which schools I have the best chance of getting into and which are out of reach. I was wondering if anyone has any information of that nature (spreadsheet, book, etc.).

Thank you so much! 🙂

For example, what is the average gpa/gre/etc. of a student admitted at one of the top 10 schools, vs #25, vs #50, etc?

The best thing to do is to look at the sticky at the top on what others had to get admission. I'm not really sure where to find those types of stats.

There's no perfect formula, and a candidate that brings a unique OT-related experience to the table will likely be more valuable to a school than a 3.7+ GPA with no experience. Take the rankings with a grain of salt though, the criteria they're based on isn't very credible. While the schools at the topof the list are generally very good programs, there are plenty of great schools that aren't ranked very high on the US News list. Good luck!

Oh yea I forgot about the OTCAS list! It's only for schools that use OTCAS though.

Thank you all for your advice!

Thank you so much for that list! It is exactly what I am looking for! It is only missing acceptance rates and of course information for non-otcas schools, but it is excellent. 😀
