Before I begin I would like to say that I have searched through this forum for answers but found no information about raw score calculation 🙁

I am doing the EKVerbal 101 tests and just finished my first one. Out of 40 questions I got 31 right and 9 wrong. I am trying to figure out where I am in terms of review. However, the book contains no information regarding how a raw score is calculated.

Is the raw score just the number of questions I got right or do I subtract .25x#of wrong answers like on the SATs? Sorry if this seems stupid but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere else.

Also are other sections' raw scores (other than writing) calculated the same way? Thanks!!

The raw score is just the number of questions correct on a section. There is no "guessing penalty" of 25% off like there was on the SATs.

Good luck!

This, so your raw score is a 31. The conversion to what your approximate AAMC sectional score would be (somewhere between 1-15) can be found on a raw score conversion table in the back of the book.
