How to designate pre-reqs

I have a question about certain programs that have extra pre-reqs (like Columbia) how does it know which classes I designate for its (5) Humanities pre-reqs (since there is no humanities designation when putting in coursework)? Does it just automatically choose from my transcript? I'm nearing the end of my application (finalizing essay / custom school essays) and I'm just wondering about this small part of the application.

I'm not sure about Columbia, but other schools will review your transcript and identify the specific pre-reqs that they require. I am applying to schools that require medical terminology and humanities, and this is how they do it.
