Are there any people out there who did not have a strong background in physics and somehow did very well on the MCAT? People who basically gained most of their actual understanding of physics by studying for the MCAT? If so, what did you use? I hear Nova is good. I would love any advice!

Thanks!!!!

Get TBR. I hate physics and despite occasionally getting good grades in it, I totally suck at it. TBR makes it hurt less whenever I see a projectile or a collision.

Agreed...you need to keep in mind that all you have to master is MCAT physics...You dont have to be some engineering superstar that understands physics inside and out. Therefore i encourage you to do TBR and NOVA...learn why things are wrong. Write it out why they are wrong. This helps just as much!!! GL....I feel your pain cause I F'in hate this subject and i consider myself a good student who is fairly intelligent; however, this makes me feel beyond ******ed

I absolutely sucked at Physics when i first started for the MCAT... I got a 4 on the first practice test. i studied mostly Exam krackers for physics and soon it turned to my best section on the test. I ended up getting 12
s and 13's on the practice test at the end. IMO it is very easy to go up in the physical science section compared to bio and esp. verbal.

Thanks guys! Yea I've always been good at math, but physics just doesn't come as naturally to me as do the other sciences. At least after the MCAT, we never have to worry about it again!
