Is there any way to contact a school and express interest at this point in the cycle ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but...

'Contacting schools to express interest' = begging schools for attention = annoyed adcom???

You could try calling them or emailing them, their contact info should be on their websites, but I'm not sure what good will come out of it.

Haha I totally stole it from It's Always Sunny in Phillidelphia 🙂

And for the O.P:

I think the best way to express interest is to email/call them with questions you have about their program specifically. Show them you did your research on their program; Ask questions about specifics that you found interesting on their website, for instance.

Otherwise, just wait for them to come to you!

I disagree with you folks. The other day I contacted a school and scheduled a phone interview with the DMD applicant advisor and spoke to her about the school. I had a chance to explain my unique situation and life experience, and it was actually quite a great conversation. At the end she said she put notes on my account that the admins would see when reviewing app. I'm not saying this would work with every school or it is the right thing to do in every situation, but I felt it didn't hurt at all and if anything helped me.

Just my two cents! Good luck to everyone!

Which school? If you dont mind me asking... I've heard some schools like calls/emails and some don't. Seems almost like a high risk/high reward situation. Showing sincere interest at the risk of looking desperate or annoying.
