Anyone have any experience finding / hiring live models for regional anesthesia ultrasound workshop practice? My group is starting a monthly morning workshop and I have a current college student willing to be a model however she won't be available all the time.

Does anyone have any successful ways or avenues for advertising? I'm a little hesitant to go the Craigslist route, I've been thinking more along the lines of finding local community college premed advisors and advertising to them...

Ask the college student if she has friends...

1.go to gym more
2. Eat healthier
3. Get really confident with your body
4. take off your own shirt at workshops
5.????
6. Profit

Call the local art programs and get in touch with the models they use.

One of my colleagues teenage kids usually volunteer (with some bribe I’m sure).
Healthy teenagers have awesome sonoanatomy

I don't really know a whole lot about art. What kind of art program are you talking about? You mean that stuff in the movies with the nude model in the room that people paint?

I was thinking about something like that, like colleagues' teenage kids. Do you think it would get messy having someone who's not at least 18?

I ran a TTE workshop before and we just contacted our medical school. They were able to refer us to some young people that let us scan them for about 50/hr each for several hours.

Exactly

it doesn’t here, besides - one of their parents is present.

And community colleges don't usually have premed advisors, that's why I made an account here.

Find models that have an elevated BMI if you want to teach students to visualize in real life situations given our 40% obesity rate in women with 10% morbidly obese and 2/3 of the population overweight/obese.
Or just put a piece of bacon between the skin and the transducer. 😛

When I was a medical student, I and my fellow students were happy to be involved as models for ultrasound workshops (non-invasive and decent pay for the workshop).
