i recently had an interview which i was pretty confident would lead me to an acceptance. the interviewers told me i had a solid application, and on occasion told me i had good answers to their questions. i have a letter now telling me that a decision will be delayed and my app will be reviewed from time to time.

what are some things i need to be doing now to get an acceptance. if anyone has been through this id love some advice about what you did. i had sent an update letter of my new and recent activities to the school before I had my interview. After a "solid" application and what i thought was a good interview, I am just confused about why there was no decision made.

I was put on hold at FSUCOM after my interview. At the time of my interview, they had already extended 88 acceptances for a class of 80. They had to wait until someone turned them down to offer out any other acceptances. 2 weeks after my interview I was told that the committee was unable to make a decision regarding my application and then a week after that, I got a phone call telling me that they had a spot for me.

My problem was that my interview was late in the season. (There were only 2 other interview days after mine). My LOR were delayed due to hurricane Ivan (my advisors office was demolished).

If your interview date was late in the season, they may just be waiting until a spot opens up. I don't think that being on "hold" means waitlisted. I think it may be one step above the waitlist.

Good luck
