I am Senior this year and currently in the application process.
When I applied, I had the intention of being a full-time student for both semesters of this year; however, I only require 6 more credits to complete my degree. I am the president of a student-group, involved in another group, and a student-athlete at a Div. 1 school. It seems that I will also be increasing the number of hours I will be working also. With all this on my plate, I am beginning to wonder whether I should become a part-time student for my second semester (7-10) credits. This would save some money (which is not a issue) and allow me to focus on work, my roles a leader in my student groups, and my last season as an athlete.
Do you think medical schools will view this negatively? Should I just throw in a non-rigorous course to get myself to become a full-time student?
Any thoughts on this will help. Thank you.
