Forgive the possibly dumb question here -- but today during a CT-guided procedure I was asked to hold respirations in end-inspiration -- and I'm not really sure how to do it. Turn off the vent when the bellows are all the way down? Any help is appreciated!

Switch the vent to manual, put the APL to some # appropriate for the patient, crank up the fresh gas, and let the machine deliver 20 or 30 of CPAP, the lungs will inflate and stay inflated. Or you can manually deliver a breath and hold it.

As above. I close the APL valve a bit, squeeze manually, and hold it at around 30 cmH2O.

Thanks! Totally makes sense!
