Most likely I will have to try this for January because there's no way I can increase my score in a week. I've been using BR for everything and EK, but I find that my bio score has improved very little, in fact it's gotten worse with every new test I take. AAMC 9 I got a 9 in BS. The organic parts are easy, the hard part for me are the passages explaining experiments. I don't think BR really prepared me for that, to be honest.

Also, is it true that AAMC 7-9 are harder than 10 and 11? I've been holding off on taking them until I'm 'ready.'

I agree that the BS passages are a bit different than how they present it in the TBR. But as long as you read the passage carefully you really shouldn't have too much problem.
Are you skipping passages like you were doing in TBR? Or is your content understanding really solid?
So far I've done AAMC 3-8, and I don't think there were any bio problems that were really out of line when it came to passage based problems, but only a few where-the-hell-did-this-crap-come-from type discrete questions. The hard part for me really was the ochem part..
But anyway, make sure you are carefully reading the passages like you would a VR passage, because a lot of the times they ask a question that makes you think you know it (or should know), but it's actually new information which you have to find out from the passage.
