"block 3D" or I think it might be called 3d Tetris... i had fun with that from waaaay back in the day. Thought it was a great mental agility exercise.

I think pretty much any new video game that's out on the market will do, since they're all in 3D. Old-school games that are in 2D probably won't be very good practice. Playing video games to prepare for the PAT isn't necessarily about mimicking the PAT closely with games like Tetris; it's about increasing your visual-spatial skills. That means your ability to think in 3D in your head, since that's what you've got to do on the PAT.

First-person shooter games like Halo are good practice since they're pretty intense on the 3D side. That being said, I think anything you enjoy will help you out. Just make it fun, not a chore.

in addition to playing video games, I suggest taking an origami book and look through those, it may help you with folding and hole punching.

I am new to this , someone want to explain what the Pat is ? 😎

Any nintendo game that uses the "Robot"

By "Robot" do you mean R.O.B., the previoulsy available Robotic Operating Buddy that was included with the original Nintendo system? 😀

Practice. Practice. And then some more practice. The one thing that I found useful about acethedat is that their PAT section is about as hard as the real thing. If you have the $50 or so bucks to spare then I suggest that you buy their product for that section alone. Trust me, most people will be humbled by how hard/strange some of the questions are but those style of questions are very similar to what you'll encounter on test day.

Try DAT Achiever as well. This is the only guide I know of that features complete 3D explanations to the PAT. You can download its DEMO test from the website and check on how cool their animated models may be. 😎

to the folks who were asking, PAT is the Perceptual Ability Test, a section on the DAT, Dental Admissions Test.

The PAT is the section that gives the most people the most problems. It is easy to study for the organic chemistry, general chemistry, biology, and quantitative reasoning. the pat and reading comprehension are really the only 2 sections that are difficult to "study" for except through loads and loads of practice.

plus, it is so different compared to most tests you take in school that it is just... odd.

I just figured out what the PAT is all about. LOL , its the crap that I love to do. I worked with few companies who used solid works and pro engineer CAD software to build variety of 3D models. I must of made over 100 's of drawings with those front , top , right views. I am even thinking about even getting Pro Engineer certified by PTC software.

I dont want to sound rude but if I dont get a 90% score on it ..I will be highly pissed. This would prolly be my only solid section besides the math.

I know you guys prolly saying what a scumbag , but hey if this makes you feel better .. lets just say that my organic and biology skills suck ass.

I'm seen people with over 22's.

I think pkp719 should shoot fo 30 if possible, especially considering all the practice you had.
