What's a good approach of using the 3 Qbanks (Rx, Kaplan, UWorld) over the course of 2nd year in the context of:
a.) A daily, weekly, strategy of completing x number of blocks or questions and reviewing it for this amount of time
b.) Integrating it with course material...are there questions you ought to be able to do now (i.e.- Embryo), are there questions you should wait and integrate with each system; perhaps the integration with course material can help with your coursework?

I'm lost at that the efficiency aspect of using QBanks to kill 2 birds with 1 stone (classes and boards) but I'd appreciate if someone found a good balance over the course of the year while managing questions and classes could offer their 2 cents. At the same time, I'm assuming UWorld (the goldmine) should be reserved down the road a few months before classes start.

Thanks.

In the past month or so you've started nearly 20 threads on what board materials to use or how to use them. The information is all already on SDN. You need to create a plan and stick with it.

I did UWorld and USMLERx alongside my pathology/pharm class. When we finished an organ system, the last thing I'd do the night before the test was the pharm/path/pathophys on that organ system. It's not like the world will implode if you have done UWorld before your dedicated study time. I think it benefited me greatly because I had all of UWorld done well before my school's first CBSE and I raped ever living **** out of it.

I don't know how your school does embryo. My philosophy is that you should do it with each organ system in second year since it's basically tested on STEP1 as pathology in utero for the most part.

I think you're obsessing a little to much on what others have done. Figure out what works for you. The best thing you can do during second year is to learn second year well. Juggling 1000 balls and not learning the fundamentals pathology/pharmacology well is going to hurt you dearly in the long run. Yeah, class is low yield, but that's the benefit of being in class. You can afford to be low yield because STEP is so far away.
