I took AP calculus in high school. On my college transcript it reads as: "ADV PLACEMENT EXAM- MATH AB, 05-09"

Is this exactly what I should put for the course name? Should I leave the course number blank? Should I keep the "05-09" part or take it out? (It says 05-09 because I took the exam in May 2009).

I looked at that, but the example listed there isn't helpful for me because my AP credit wasn't lumped together.

I would just list things exactly as they appear on your transcript. That'll minimize the opportunity for problems once your app goes through verification. The people verifying your app might be suspicious if you change things around, even if your intent is to make what's listed clearer or make more sense.

Exactly how does it appear on your tr
anscript? Here's how one of mine is listed:

PHYS 1100 Physics I S 4.0

So for the AMCAS I did:

Course number: PHYS 1100
Course name: AP Credit: Physics I
Course classification: Physics
Transcript Grade: blank
Credit hours: 4.0

Then I checked "Advanced Placement" at the bottom.

So you should do that, except use "AP credit: MATH AB, 05-09" for course name, and change classification to Math. Credit Hours should match whatever's on your transcript.
