I am trying to figure out how to list academic honors on the AMCAS activities section.

I would like the adcoms to see that I was on the provost & deans list, departmental honors, summa cum laude, phi beta kappa & golden key international honour society.

Currently I listed these all together under a single heading - would you do this? Did you separate out anything or clump all honors together? I currently have about 10 ECs if these are lumped as one unit.

Any advice on what, how & why you chose to arrange your honors a particular way would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 TIA!

I think having all of your academic honors under one heading is a good idea. In the AMCAS help (take that for what it's worth), they stated that most medical schools are looking for quality, not quantity, in the work/activities section.

Bottom line, don't feel like you need to use all 15 available positions...group similar awards/activities where possible.

I second this. It'll make your other experiences stand out more as well, since they won't be diluted with a flood of honor/award experiences.
