Yeah I see the bait
Please quote the OP next time so that latecomers can also get some of the entertainment.
OP is half White half Taiwanese and was looking to see if they could mark themselves as "Pacific Islander" because Taiwan has indigenous groups.
Ohhhhh! That's why they always ask us not to quote their post. Please quote the OP next time so that latecomers can also get some of the entertainment.
I've seen plenty Asians identify themselves as "Polynesian" here in Hawaii! I find it amusing and quite strange...Pacific Islander has become the newest "recently acquired" ethnicity, I'm afraid.
I saw well over a dozen this year who don't seem to come from any of the islands generally considered to be associated with this connotation (e.g.Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia).
LCME requires data. Feed the beast. And what your ethnicity is matters because....
My daughter is half Navajo. I am not the Navajo half, but I can still claim Native American by proxy. That’s how this works, right?
If only. Alas, I am but the feeble gamete producer.Only if you are pregnant with another child and can say with a straight face that you have a little Navajo in you.
