How to move off a NYU Waitlist Faster!

So I remember reading that letters of intent or interest can help move you along a waitlist, is this true? Because I am wondering if this would work particularly for NYU?

if so any hints or advice would be appreciated. I know Dr. Mejia is very nice and I will follow up with her, I just wanted to know what else would work.

Right now, just wait. People like me will be turning down our acceptance offers soon. A lot of people will be doing that, it wasn't a first choice school for everyone.

Agreed, for right now just wait. I am 95% sure I will be turning down NYU (too expensive). Many others will probably jump ship as well.
