I guess this is a bit of a funny question, but I'm doing a rotation at a local health department. Essentially, a few people here are going to give a presentation to Autistic and, what I'm looking for you all to comment on, TBI adults about proper hygeine such as washing their hands among other things.
I told them I was going into PM&R and they were like "maybe you can give us ideas on how to relate to them!" Problem is I'm not a physiatrist quite yet.
I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how I could advise them on effectively communicating to this population. Keep in mind, neither them nor I have an idea of the level of functioning they will have.
