Does it matter who I send it to? I met one of the admissions counselors at a recruitment fair and spoke with him at length. The school does not seem to have a general admissions e-mail. However there are different admissions staff, should I e-mail the Associate Dean for Admissions (who I do not know)? My MCAT score may be kinda low for this particular school, but my other stats should be fine.
Also, although the school is in another state it is not horribly far, as it is a 6-8 hour train ride. Also, I am from said state so my family lives there, but I currently work out of that state. So I would have to do more travelling and take more time off work.
Let me know if I should change/add/edit anything about my letter.
"Dear Mr. X,
I am very interested in X School of Medicine. I currently live in X but I will be in X on Month #st interviewing at another medical school. If the admissions committee is interested in interviewing me, I would like to schedule my interview around this time to minimize travel and expenses. However, if this is not possible, I would be happy to return to X at another time for the opportunity to interview at X School of Medicine, as is one of my top choices.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Me"
Isn't it obvious that I want to minimize travel and expenses? If so, I am wondering if I should include that bit of information.
Thank you for all your help!
