I know this is an old thread. I just came back to post my show of gratitude to those who gave me words of advice and encouragement. Started my college career with a 0.25 GPA (gasp!) and didn't think that it was possible. I thought that no matter how hard I tried, it will always be sub-3.0 and hence make me ineligible for a US med school f o r e v e r. But I tried, and had two 4.0 semesters back to back, and boosted my overall gpa to 3.26 currently (still have more schooling left, so hopefully I can bump it up another tenth of a point or so). So thank you guys. I came back to visit this thread every now and then when I was feeling low, and it did the trick. I love SDN -- it is so rare to find a loving and supporting community (unless you're among teletubbies or Barney!). 😍
