Hi everyone, Im taking my DAT in December and I wanted to get a head start on the PAT section. However, I have no idea where to start. Are there any good sources to learn how to to PAT?

CRACK DAT PAT is really good for learning how to do things and practicing wise it's bootcamp BC it's hard and the explanations r really good

Watch youtube videos on every single section, do problems by pausing videos on you tube. For angles use free generator of bootcamp. Then start CDP, I heard it is easier than real DAT. But it will be a good start.

If you have the Kaplan blue book, start with that to get the rules down and familiarize yourself with each section. After you have a good grasp of the basic basics, you can start practicing on one of the aforementioned software bundles. I think generally speaking, Bootcamp is much harder than the actual DAT but provides amazing 3D explanations of the sections while CDP is easier but more representative of the DAT, with maybe the exceptions being keyholes and TFE.

Practice makes perfect for this section, so be sure to practice straight through to your test date. It will most certainly get easier over time as you get used to the problem sets.

Crack Dat Pat www extremely helpful. I only spent about a week altogether studying the PAT section and got a 19 on the test. And that was lower than I was used to getting. If you use crack dat pat you should get at least a 20

Watch youtube videos on each PAT section. Get either CDP or Bootcamp, and do some practice sections untimed. Review all the answers thoroughly. After you've done enough untimed practice, start doing full-length timed exams and reviewing the answers. Keep repeating this process and you'll get better over time.

I used both bootcamp and crack dat pat, and I liked bootcamp much more!

If you dig through the bootcamp site, Ari posts videos of how to do each section (I believe). I know he has a pattern folding one!

Also, use his generators. Start untimed until you get a grasp, then switch to timed. On test day you really want to be able to fly through the angle ranking section because this will allow you more time on TFE, hole punch, pattern folding which have a higher yield at getting correct.

I especially struggled with pattern folding cubes and shaded patterns and was so happy that I went through them on bootcamp even though they were grueling. I improved my PAT from an 18 to a 20 and I think its all because of bootcamp because I only used crack dat pat the first time.

There are various opinions on whether CrackDAT PAT or Bootcamp is better or more effective. But if you have the money, get both and use both of the materials.

Personally, CrackDAT PAT is a great starter. There are multiple tutorial videos with multiple examples and contains generators.

Bootcamp will kick your butt and make you feel silly, but will make fine tune your PAT skills.
