hi, i found a doctor who agreed to let me shadow him. i applied by email and i have never seen the doctor. he left a message on my voice mail saying that on days that he is seeing patients he wants me to wear a lab coat and on surgery day, scrubs. thats all he said, he didnt say when i should start. my question is what is the most professional way for me to start ? do i just walk into his office today and introduce myself? or do i email him and ask him when i should come in? or something else that i am not thinking of ?

why don't you call his office and ask one of the secretaries or nurses to go ahead and ask him when you should start?
