Hey, all. I plan on using dentalWorks' 8 week study guide (starting tomorrow). I tried studying for the DAT using this guide back in January and I found that my strategy wasn't working. Cliff's was so dry and I felt like KBB didn't cover enough. I made very thorough flashcards for everything, which was ultimately a waste of time since I was mindlessly copying information and not retaining any of it. So now that the semester has ended, I am devoting the first half of this summer to doing this 8 week plan (substituting Feralis Bio Notes for KBB Bio). For those of you who also used these two resources, could you tell me how you studied? I think making flashcards is inevitable for bio, but I'm wondering how exactly you guys did it.

In theory I would read a chapter of Cliff's, then read and try to memorize the corresponding chapter in the notes. Once you've committed most of bio to memory I'd just look over the notes on a somewhat regular basis to keep it all fresh in your head.

Read a chapter of cliffs highlighting important things, then make notes of ur own. Read over ferallis higlighting key words for each definition/theory. Then make flashcards, if u r familiar with anki u can make flashcards very quickly with typed up notes.
