I recently applied EDP to Medical College of Georgia, and was deferred without an interview. I have a gpa of 3.5 BCMP and 3.5 overall, and a 24 on the MCAT (phy-7, verbal-8,bio-9). I retook the MCAT and scored a 29 (phy-9, verbal-10,bio-10). I am very confident that I will get an interview, but I was wondering how to convey to MCG that they are my #1 choice. Should I wait untill after the interview? Also, how would I go about saying this, by letter? Thanks for any help

By EDP I'm assuming you mean, early decision program right? If you applied EDP the school knows they are your #1 choice.

You might have to wait until you're accepted by another school, then send them the acceptance letter saying that they are your first choice. It doesn't really make sense to tell a school they're your first choice when you have no acceptances and therefore no choices to begin with.

first of all, congrats on that score jump, that's awesome. since you're confident you'll get an interview, i would wait until after you go to your interview, and then follow up the interview with a note to the dean or whoever reminding them that they're your top choice school.

EDP = First choice

Thanks for the info, and the compliment SUNCB. I will wait till after the interview.
Thanks
