How to update grades

So I’m applying with a low GPA and high MCAT. I’m taking a summer class that I have a high A in as of now. When the grade posts in a couple weeks, I need to make sure the grade gets to all of my schools in both AMCAS and AACOMAS. Do I do that through the secondary portals or the original application or what? I’m a bit confused as to how to update all of my schools with that info

For AACOMAS, there are grade update period where you can submit new transcripts to your original application. They state when these are on their website. I think there's one around the end of August if I remember correctly.

I dont recall this being an option for AMCAS but I could be wrong; I just emailed my schools copies of the new grade with an update letter.

What do you do for the update letter? Just say you have new grades
