Hi!

I was just curious as to how everybody have been using the Khan Academy videos to prepare for the new MCAT.

II was thinking of just using it to prepare for the new sections since I studied for the old MCAT last summer. But there's so many videos it's a little overwhelming and I'm not quit sure where to start.

Are you guys using the videos to learn? Using the videos as a supplement to prep books for learning? Using the video for practice problems only? Etc.

Thanks! 🙂

I start my study schedule tomorrow after also prepping and taking the old MCAT. I plan on using Khan Academy videos for supplement if I am confused and I plan on completing all passages that are in the Khan Academy series. Honestly, what everyone writes on here is pure speculation as to what the best study method is....no one really knows, but my gut says to use all the old AAMC administered material (old practice tests and old self-asssessments), and also use the source that AAMC promotes heavily (Khan Academy) to guide my studying.

I taught myself all of the old MCAT using the videos and managed to score pretty well for someone who hadn't set foot in a science classroom. Just watch them. Repeat as needed. No real trick to it, just make sure you understand the material and then practice using whatever question source you prefer. Same goes for the new MCAT I would imagine.

I've been reading the chapters from tbr/tpr and then whenever I'm eating or just folding laundry I'll put on a KA video from the topics I read for that day in double speed just to go over things.
