I know this has been asked before and I found a thread in pre-allo, but the thread just got plain ugly (what angry people). For those that have withdrawn, how do you notify the school? Thanks for the help.

I wrote an email to the director. Case solved. Got a rather nice reply.

So far I've sent letters via snail mail. It just seemed like the right thing to do even though it took an extra 5 minutes .

I've done it snail mail. It actually took me a good chunk of time to compose a letter I was satisfied with (I have an inordinate fear of bridge-burning). Who knows if anyone took the time to read it...
