How to write diversity essay

Can anybody give me some advice of how to start a diversity essay, or a secondary question that says "tell us something you think will be useful and not in your application". Any advice on what to include, how to start it and structure it, and how many things to include would be very helpful. Thanks.

Just tell the adcoms that you're so diverse, you don't use the search function on SDN and start new threads on old topics!
